DEAR, explores moments of hope, truth, memory and connection through putting pencil to paper. It is a multi-disciplinary, nonlinear movement theater experience conceived and directed by Mary Chase in collaboration with the artists.

duration:  45 minutes, no intermission.

I used to write letters all the time.  Why don't I anymore? Some long, some short.  Mailed across oceans, taking weeks- even months, plucking at heart strings.  Of course, the markings were meant to be read, but there was much more present right there between each stroke, sentence, or paragraph. The slant in handwriting, the hurried scrawl, or the neat lines revealed what the words could not.  DEAR,  is a reimagining of the emotional landscapes expressed through the act of writing letters and what lies in the unspoken spaces between them, hoping to capture the essence of human connection in its rawest form.
