The People’s Project

A human installation of music, movement, and storytelling created as a monument of collective healing.

Born from moments of helplessness, pain, unexpected joy, and gratitude, the work gathers poems, memories, experiences, and dreams from a global community. Those stories become a performance pointing toward what is beautiful about being human.

“What evolves moves us so profoundly.”

Past performers include Mary Chase, Stacey Schamber, Julie Mulvihill, Ariana Clapp, Jasmine Randle, Diego Ramos, Alden von Ziegesar, Arnoldo Ramos, and Ashok Panikkar. Created in collaboration with Moovment House.

DEAR,

Hope, truth, memory, and connection—putting pencil to paper.

Conceived and directed by Mary Chase in collaboration with the artists, DEAR, reimagines the emotional landscapes held in handwritten letters: the hurried scrawl, careful lines, distance across oceans, and everything living in the unspoken spaces between words.

The six-part work moves through From My Hand, Through My Heart, To My Head, Through Time, Open and Empty, and Say What You Know, Sing What You Hear.

state of becoming

Eight weeks of collective creating, exploring, and community building.

Directed by Mary Chase, this interdisciplinary performance asks not what we become, but how we face change: whether we can open ourselves to possibility and vulnerability in the moment of transformation.

Dance, theater, music, writing, sound, and visual art meet without a single linear story.
